Hendon Star Glen Adams (youthfully pictured below left in his Century days!!) has been selected to represent England at Under 25 level, a fantastic achievement for the youngster. As a result of his selection he will attend a training day at Leamington on July 9th before travelling with the squad to play in the British Isles Championships at Llandrindod Wells on September 9th and 10th.

Glen is one of 8 new caps in Martin Sekjerís first squad and has been selected at lead to the England Captain Perry Martin (Kent). The full side can be seen on Bowls Englandís website

Glenís selection marks the pinnacle of a great 12 months. Outdoors in 2016 Glen won his 3rd Middlesex Under 25 singles title and was runner up in both the County 2 woods and Pairs. At the National Championships he made the semi final of the 2 woods before being beaten by Bowls England player of the year Sam Tolchard.

Indoors Glen made the last 4 of the National Champion of Champions before dramatically succumbing 21-20 to the eventual runner up and he made the National Stages of the Singles before that man Tolchard did for him again! That success was rewarded with selection for the England Indoor Under 25 International side (pictured below right, Glen back row, 2nd left) who went on to win the British Isles Title. Glen played all 3 games at lead, recording 3 wins and being part of the top rink twice.

2017 promises to be a great year for Glen.

Congratulations from all in the County
