This Saturday Middlesex play their 4th match in this seasons Home Counties League Campaign when they travel to Reading BC to take on the Royal County of Berkshire BA. Please be reminded that if you are travelling to support the side this match will start at 1100hrs.

It has been well documented that Middlesex, to date, have not had the season they were hoping for. This Saturday, playing the current league leaders they have the opportunity to show what they are all about.

With 1 win and 2 defeats so far, in the league this year, a victory is vital if Middlesex wish to retain an interest in winning the league ahead of their final 2 games.

Berkshire for their part will be looking to bounce back from their defeat to Kent in their last League match. They do however, as already stated, currently sit top of the league with 62 points, a full 36 ahead of Middlesex but they have played a game more.

It will also be interesting to see how the Berkshire team conduct themselves on and off the green in their new more professional and driven approach led by Commonwealth games star Andy Knapper.

This Saturday also sees winless Sussex host Buckinghamshire at Buxted Park and also winless Oxfordshire host 3rd placed Kent as Banbury Chestnuts BC.

With Team Manager Ray unable to attend due to playing in the National 2 Fours for Poplar can Middlesex give him a victory from afar and boost morale ahead of the final 2 games against Kent and Oxfordshire.
