HOME COUNTIES PREVIEW

SATURDAY 5TH AUGUST 2017 – 1400HRS – KIDLINGTON BC

This Saturday Middlesex play their final home counties league game of a disappointing campaign when they travel to Kidlington BC to face Oxfordshire BA.

This match sees 2 of the 3 strongest sides in the Home Counties in opposition, well with Oxford having lost all their games to date, we are holding all the others up with the help of Buckinghamshire!

This is a vital game for Middlesex if they are to avoid the wooden spoon. Both Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire have 2 games to play one of them being against each other, defeat to Oxford would almost certainly see them overtake Middlesex.

Rosedale Park’s Russell Rooks receives his County Badge and Home Counties flash at this game.

There are no other games in the league tomorrow as attention will be focused on the Middleton Cup and Johns Trophies final stages at Leamington on the opening day of the National Championships.

Middlesex have a positive record in Oxfordshire having won 5 of the last 8 Home Counties visits there. The only visit to Kidlington, however, in 2013 resulted in a 33 shot, 4-18 point defeat.

So can Middlesex finish with a win?

Report to come in due course.
